Pyramid Virtual Concert

Calling all Elementary Singers - Join us for our Pyramid Virtual Concert!!!

The West Potomac Choir Pyramid is going virtual!  Would you like to join us for our Virtual Choir Pyramid Song?  Do you love to sing and miss singing with a group?   Here are our choir opportunity details:

What are we singing?

“We Are Family.” Elementary schoolers will just be singing the Chorus. Very repetitive, easy to learn! You will be singing with Sandburg and WPHS students.

Where can I find the materials?

All materials (sheet music and practice tracks) will be available via Google Classroom. Please register for the “WPHS Virtual Choral Pyramid” Google classroom. Students will use their @fcpsschools.net account to register for the class. Class code is: yda5x3h

How does a virtual choir work?

Students will practice their part with the practice tracks provided. Once students know their part well, they will record themselves singing their part, along to the practice track, and will upload their videos to an assignment in our Google Classroom. Specific instructions on how to record will be communicated and uploaded on Google Classroom as well. We will hold a Virtual Pyramid Concert on Wednesday, January 13th at 7pm. We will all log on and watch the “Premiere” of our Virtual Pyramid Video!

What is the schedule for rehearsals?

Mrs. Campbell and Ms. Martin will be holding 4 rehearsals, via Google Meets in our Google Classroom. You can meet the teachers, learn your part, and get more guidance on how to record. It is encouraged to attend all rehearsals, but it is not required.

Here is the schedule:

  • Tuesday, November 17th from 4:30-5:15pm
  • Monday, November 23rd from 4:30-5:15pm
  • Tuesday, December 1st from 4:30-5:15pm
  • Monday, December 7th from 4:30-5:15pm

When is the video submission due?

Final Video Submissions are due Friday, December 11th

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Campbell (@email) and Ms. Martin (@email). We hope you will join us!

Musically yours,

Mrs. Campbell
