On November 10, 2022 Stratford Landing proudly recognized those who have served and continue to serve our country. 

Starting in October, we asked families to submit pictures of their service members. Those photos were collected and then displayed on our main bulletin board during the month of November.

We kicked off our celebration before school with a Ceremony at the Flagpole. All families, as well as community members, were invited to attend and service members were encouraged to wear their uniforms. Stratford’s 6th grade chorus sang two songs and a local Cub Scout Pack did the flag raising. Our principal, Mr. Morris, said a few words and then invited all service members to come up front to be recognized. A compilation video of the morning’s activities was then shared via the school’s PTA Facebook page.

After several years of not having classroom speakers, we were excited to once again welcome service members back into the classrooms! We celebrated these speakers by holding a breakfast for service members with foods donated by our SLES families.
