End of Year SMARTR Outcome

  • By June 2021, 100% of students in grades K-6 will have weekly instructional experiences with the Advanced Academics curriculum.

Strategy 1

  • Utilize AAP resources throughout the school. Introduce and create professional development for aligning the pacing guides---pacing alignment. Consult with FCPS AAP office to implement school wide.

Strategy 2

  • Strategic Planning within collaborative teams to include AAP curriculum and strategies.

Strategy 3

  • Professional development of Young Scholars program. Teachers will identify discuss support Young Scholars utilizing resources and strategies. Completing consistent conversations around Young Scholars and the resources/strategies to use when working with these students. Include Young Scholars in advanced math curriculum, grades 3-6.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

  • By June 2021, the student absence rate in the virtual setting will decrease from 8% to 5%.

Strategy 1

  • Family communication focusing on regular check-ins, discussions on family needs, and the utilization of the Wellness Team for family and staff support.

Strategy 2

  • Student engagement that encourages responsive classroom practices as well as CARES, use of multiple instructional tools, and provide opportunities for student voice and choice.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

  • By June 2021, 100% of students will increase their proficiency in two or more skills in the Portrait of a Graduate Goal Directed and Resilient attribute and grade level selected POG attribute.

Strategy 1

  • School-wide differentiated professional learning to ensure an understanding of POG attributes and provide students with skills they can use daily.

Strategy 2

  • Engage in inquiry-based learning experiences allowing for authentic development of POG skills.

Strategy 3

  • Establish a systematic process for periodic check-ins to monitor student progress.
