FCPS Cares
FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.
Business and Community Partnerships
The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.
In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.
Family Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to the success of Fairfax County Public Schools. Many enriching and worthwhile experiences are afforded to our children through volunteer help from families. Every day, volunteers change the lives of students across FCPS and we offer several ways for people in the community to get involved.
SLES welcomes volunteers in many capacities. Please complete the volunteer training to learn more and sign up!
- Reading, Writing, and Math Buddies
- WHISK Folders
- Room Parent
- Library
- Clerical Work (e.g., making copies, hanging up student work, creating bulletin boards)
All volunteers are required to review and complete a volunteer training below prior to starting a volunteer position at Stratford Landing ES. Once you have viewed the presentation, fill out this form.

Care and Share Program
The goal of our PTA sponsored Care & Share program is to help provide equity and support for students and their family through our extended Stratford Landing community.
This is a volunteer based program and all donations are appreciated.
Some of the resources we have provided in the past include:
- School supplies/backpacks/winter coats
- Reusable water bottles
- Snacks for students experiencing food insecurity
- Opportunities to participate in after school clubs
- Transportation for after school clubs and field trips
- Gift cards
- Book vouchers for the book fair
- Groceries & toiletries
- Yearbooks for students
This year our counselors are beginning by conducting a needs assessment to see how we can best support students and their families in our school community.
If you are interested in contributing to the Care & Share program, please look out for requests or reach out to PTA Chair of Care and Share: Kim Fazio - @email
