Stratford Landing Elementary recently adopted the Dr. Recess program to help students engage in non-competitive games while learning how to socialize and interact in a playful, respectful environment.  Recess is a time to relax and enjoy with friends. Dr. Recess provides the training for teachers to help engage students in games that include critical thinking and problem-solving strategies.  The program promotes the importance of being active and living a healthy life by using developmentally appropriate games to support social and emotional skills, cognitive skills, and motor skills while meeting the fitness levels of elementary students.
