Ms. Schickel Recognized as Virginia Elementary Art Educator of the Year

Julia Schickel, art teacher at Stratford Landing Elementary School, was awarded the Virginia Elementary Art Educator of the Year. Schickel continues to enhance her own knowledge as well as continuously sharing her know-how by hosting workshops for fellow educators. From artist trading cards and textiles to choice-based methodology and advanced academic strategies, she has the ability to use a range of media and disciplines, seamlessly transferring what she knows to her students as well as her peers.
